Too Big for Importance

Very often when people see celebrities they are surprised to find that they look smaller in person and more ordinary than their larger than life images on the big screen. In a place like New York where star sightings are a common occurrence, this phenomenon of the “ordinary appearance” of celebrities when seen in person leads to a general casualness between the stars and New Yorkers. Celebrities like Robert De Niro, Martin Scorsese and Woody Allen are among those stars that enjoy this casual attitude of the citizens.

Changed Scenario
Now the celebrities from film, music and what not are trooping into the city and can be seen everywhere- restaurants, parks, schools, etc... New York is witnessing in the past few years an influx of high profile people. The current horde of New York celebrities include the Olsen Twins, Lenny Kravitz, Kayne West, Peter Sarsgaard, and Stephen Dorff just to name a few. There are still plenty of spots in New York however where star watching is par for the course for many tours and points of interest businesses that cater to visitors and tourists.
